Jack and the Beanstalk is a comedic interpretation of the well-known classic tale. The story tells about jack, a widow's son who is very forgetful. He sells their cow for beans instead of food and drives his poor mother crazy. But in the end Jack makes friends with the giant and all is well.
A fun story that teaches a lesson about patience as well as the concept that one might find friends in the most unlikely places. A delightful musical participatory experience, which will captivate the imagination as the audience actually becomes part of the play. Only $8.00 per ticket !

Build it square, build it strong! Build it curved, build it sticky! Build it together, build it big! Build it WOW!
In the revamped Build It WOW! Exhibit, children have the opportunity to learn how different shapes form the basic building blocks of more complicated structures. At different building stations, children can learn about geometry, spatial relationships, balance, and stability. Visitors can also explore different ways objects can connect to each other. While creating, children practice the skills of imagining, planning, executing, and modifying ideas which sets an early foundation for STEM learning.
The Build It WOW! Exhibit is on display through September 2017 and is generously sponsored by Anne M. Larsen, State Farm Agent.

FREE BOOK GIVEAWAY
One book 4 Colorado will be back for its sixth year from April 17-May 1, 2017, when we'll give away 75,000 copies of the same book to every 4-year-old in the state through public and military libraries and Denver Preschool Program classrooms!
One Book 4 Colorado, started in 2012, gives away over 75,000 copies of the same book to each 4-year-old in the state in English and Spanish through public libraries and Denver Preschool Program classrooms.
The privately-funded program is a collaboration between Lt. Governor Donna Lynne's office, Colorado Office of Early Literacy, Colorado State Library, the Denver Preschool Program, public and military libraries statewide, the private sector, and the nonprofit and foundation communities. Modeled after the successful Preschool One Book, One Denver program, both programs stem from the idea that providing young children with access to books promotes early literacy skills and helps families serve as their children's first and most important teachers.
A child must first learn how to read, before he or she can read to learn. Working with early childhood advocates, educators, business and community leaders, the state introduced Colorado Reads: The Early Literacy Initiative in 2012, an effort to help ensure all Colorado children are reading at grade level by the third grade. One Book 4 Colorado is just one of the many community-based partnerships inspired by this movement to help ensure every child is school-ready on the first day of kindergarten.
